Kinseth Hospitality, American Companies, and the Oshkosh Chamber of Commerce break ground on the TownePlace Suites by Marriott Oshkosh hotel on Wednesday, October 21.It was a busy day for Kinseth Hospitality Companies on Wednesday, October 21, as we celebrated not one, but two groundbreakings for hotels in West Bend, WI and Oshkosh, WI. Both are to be branded as the extended stay, TownePlace Suites by Marriott hotel brand and are both developed by American Companies based out of West Bend, Wisconsin.
The events were held by their respective Chamber of Commerce teams alongside City officials, American Companies, and Kinseth Hospitality.
First on the docket was the 68-room TownePlace Suites West Bend hotel located at 175 E. Water Street.
"For a groundbreaking, we certainly have a lot of work done," expressed Bruce Kinseth. "As it was back in March/April when we started construction, with the pandemic we couldn't have a big groundbreaking, but we want to welcome you to the future TownePlace Suites by Marriott that is rapidly being completed."
This hotel marks the second in the Kinseth portfolio, after opening the Hampton Inn & Suites hotel in 2007. "We're excited to continue to be a part of the West Bend community and feel that this all-suite Marriott hotel will provide a great extended stay option."
Following the West Bend groundbreaking, the team travelled northwest to Oshkosh to break ground on the 103-room TownePlace Suites. This hotel is to be part of the Lake Shore Plaza Development located at 1365 North Westfield Street.
The West Bend project is on track to be completed April 2021 with Oshkosh to follow suit in late Fall 2021.
